With its new Winter Garden Glasshouse concept, Ob-Oon Deli Boulangerie-Patisserie is set to break new grounds in Hua Hin’s dining scene

Ob-Oon is already well established in Hua Hin as a place for some of the most delicious artisan breads, pastries, and great coffee, and it’s famous for macaroons and eclairs.

In fact, both local residents and Hua Hin visitors visit this quaint little bakery on a regular basis because they love watching the bakery team, led by head baker Alexandre Fontenau, prepare all items fresh from scratch through its open kitchen concept.

But a new restaurant concept has just been introduced at Ob-Oon Deli Boulangerie-Patisserie (22/65 Naeb Kaehat Rd, Hua Hin; 032531470; email:, and one that is expected to make it even more popular: the new Winter Garden Glasshouse concept.

When you enter the bakery using a small little door inside, you enter a whole new world, so to speak. Designed with a bright pure white color scheme, the new contemporary, air-conditioned section gives a refreshing outdoor feeling. The trees and lots of sunlight really make the place more cheery and bright, a truly relaxing place to be in.

There is a deli counter inside where the delicious pastries, small tarts, and quiches are displayed, including irresistible favorites such as Pesto Eclaire with salmon mousse and wasabi glaze (THB 160) and Parmesan Eclaire with parma ham, Emmental, and tomato (THB 160).

More than that, you can sample the skill and creativeness of the bakery team when they prepare crisp sandwiches, made-to-order, with choices of bread – all freshly baked. You may like Mediterranean Baguette with grilled vegetable, extra virgin olive oil, goat cheese and pesto (THB 250) as well as Sourdough Bruschetta with grilled Sourdough bread with pesto, whole local burrata, Parma ham, and grilled cherry tomatoes (THB 320)

The place doubles as a restaurant –and one that you will find most interesting. A look at the menu reveals that the venue features French inspired bistro fare with a few modern Thai dishes, simple yet creative pasta dishes and salads, as well as cheese and charcuterie boards. The place is great for soul or comfort food anytime indeed.

Drink wise, you can choose between classic hot beverages, drip coffee, TWG Tea selections, and wonderful frappes and shakes. As well, there is a wonderful selection of wines by the glass and some great beer choices, such as the Chiang Mai-crafted IPA.

As can be expected this bakery-cum-restaurant boasts a service and attitude that made Putarachsa Resort Hua Hin, its mother company, a by-word among discerning travelers.

With all these features, and a quality that never compromises, rest assured that Ob-Oon Deli Boulangerie-Patisserie – open 7 a.m.- 8 p.m. every day — will become one of the new hotspots, everybody’s favorite, in Hua Hin.
