Newly opened Compass SkyView Hotel promises hassle-free 5-star stay, whether you’re in Bangkok for business or for pleasure!

In September, a new high-rise hotel soft-opened and stirred quite an excitement on the burgeoning area of Sukhumvit 24. The luxurious 285-room property, Compass SkyView Hotel, is the first in Thailand to carry the management brand’s name, a reflection of its five-star positioning.
Located next to the Emporium shopping center, just a few steps from the Phrom Phong BTS station and the EmQuartier shopping complex, Compass SkyView (Tel: 02 011 1111 or email: enquiry@compassskyviewhotel.com) is the latest addition to Bangkok’s ever-growing breed of exceptional hotels that exceed requirements for short and extended holiday stays.
From the moment you step into the lobby, warmth and friendliness immediately envelops you thanks to the seemingly and genuinely caring staff. The lobby boasts an interesting design and color scheme — chic, sleek, and contemporary but not the least inhibiting. You can just sit down here and relax with your welcome drink.
During our stay, the hotel was still a few percent away from completion but guests can already see the great promise. Our room, a corner room on the 21st floor, was stylish, spacious, and feature full in-room facilities – really more than all the comforts of home.
If you want to just sleep, relax, and enjoy the room, you’ll find it appealing. You can just snuggle on the bed and watch TV, or enjoy the wonderful city view outside, visible even in the marble-tiled bathroom.
If you’re here to do some work, in-room Internet (with both WIFI and LAN port) is free and fast, and you can just call in reception for anything you want any time. If you need some more leisure, you can just pop into the outdoor infinity saltwater swimming pool on the 8th floor (access is free) for a dip, or go to the fitness center, which is open 24 hours a day, to stay in shape.
As can be expected, breakfast is complimentary – and the buffet, on the 7th floor, is quite a feast. The 7th floor in fact deserves a special mention because this is where you enjoy indulgent dining. Prime restaurant offers topnotch all-day dining, besides buffet breakfast and lunch. The adjoining Prime+, built to become a premium steakhouse, presents an intriguing new fine dining experience for gourmets. Must-try indeed.
It’s a pity that during our stay, their Sky Lounge is still closed. From what we were told, this lounge offer spectacular views across the city, which makes a perfect backdrop for an evening of sophisticated unwinding. As will Mojjo Cuban Restaurant & Cigar Lounge, on the 32nd floor, which will offer a Havana-like ambiance, cigars and authentic Cuban cocktails, and Vanilla Club night club and Vanilla Sky rooftop bar, both of which are on top of the 35th floor with guest DJs from around Asia.
Definitely great for leisure stays, Compass SkyView Hotel should also appeal to businessmen especially those who intend to host or join company functions or events as the hotel offers everything needed to fulfill such requirements. The column-free Sky Ballroom, with its complete natural light and breakout rooms, plus the selections of Sky Meeting Rooms can easily satisfy any meeting, conference, gala dinners and weddings, with the help of experienced in-house team, according to our friend at the hotel.
Of course being very new, the hotel is still fine-tuning many aspects of its operations and service, but hey, who are we not to cut them slack for their current efforts?
Anyway, what else is unique with Compass SkyView? Ah, forget those funny check-in and checkout times. At this hotel, you can check-in and checkout anytime you want, round-the-clock. This is hassle-free stay, whether you’re in Bangkok for business or for pleasure!
