Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok celebrates its sixth anniversary, and in order to express its heartfelt appreciation, the hotel organised a silent auction to contribute and give back to the local community in cooperation with BE Health Association1 held last Friday, 7 October 2016.

The bids comprised of 13 fantastic Kempinski properties from the continents of Asia, the Middle-East and Europe with 24 vouchers. Highlight properties included a complimentary three-night stay and one-weekend car rental at Sixt Rent A Car (luxury car group type) at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin in Germany which is Kempinski’s flagship hotel, a living legend in the middle of Berlin where the hotel is located next to the iconic Brandenburg Gate, where it was once separating East and West Berlin; and the most romantic escape in the form of a three-night stay at San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice in Italy, located on a private island. Another highlight property is one of the most expensively built hotels in the world, Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi in UAE with the most lavish private man-made beach of 1.3 km in length, where the perfect concept of – “going beyond five-star luxury” – has made its name. The bids all go to BE Health Association without any deduction to help tuberculosis patients in Thailand. Since 2008, Kempinski has been committed to fighting infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis, or known as TB; HIV / AIDS; and malaria. “We believe that health is a shared value between society and corporations. We wish to protect employees, guests and the local community from the world’s three most devastating infectious diseases,” said Samir R. Wildemann, General Manager and Senior Vice President Operations South-East Asia.

The highest bidder of the evening was Khun Setthawut Naruemityarn, a well-known wedding planner for a three-night stay and one-weekend car rental at Sixt Rent A Car (luxury car group type) in a Deluxe Lakeview room at Grand Hotel Kempinski Geneva in Switzerland overlooking a beautiful deep-blue lake of Geneva and a few minutes away from the Old Town, city centre and the famous Les Bains de Paquis, which are just within walking distance.
