    Bangkok – Tarun Bhatia, Chef de Partie from EK BAR located in New Delhi, India came on top with his dish ‘Inspirational Daab Chingri’, made with fresh prawns marinated in malai curry puree. The event was held at Dusit Thani Hotel School, where ten young chefs from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India and Phuket showcased their talent and techniques in a high energy cook off. The panel of jury was made up of a dynamic mix of Alvin Leung, Umberto Bombana, Ian Kittichai, Bo Songvisava, Will Meyrick and Emmanuel Stroobant. Tarun won the hearts of even the toughest demon Chef Alvin, with his unique interpretation of a traditional Indian dish using basic ingredients. His dish appeared to be the most promising on the international stage and the judges unanimously agreed on the deserving representative of Southeast Asia. Tarun will challenge the rest of the 19 Young Chefs in the Grand Finale with the flavours of Asia.
