Applications are now open for the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016: apply here to take part in the most exciting competition for young chefs in the world! Calling all chefs, sous chefs and chef de parties aged under 30-years-old with at least one year’s experience, the online applications for the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 are now open: you have time to submit your application until the 31st March 2016.
As of today young chefs can apply online to take part in the search for the most talented young chef in the world – the exciting international hunt that will see 20 young chefs picked from around the world and placed with chef mentors to compete in the Grand Final in October 2016.
Last year’s winner was Mark Moriarty from Ireland with his unique vegetarian dish, which saw him take the title of S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015. Stay tuned for Mark’s inside tips over the coming weeks as he helps guide this year’s young chefs through the application process and offers advice on the golden rules that will be scrutinised by the Seven Sages, a group of seven international top chefs that will select the winner.
S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2016 competition is seeking talented young chefs who can demonstrate a number of skills including; mastery of ingredient selection, the ability to transform ingredients into wonderful dishes, the hunger to explore new horizons, and an inspiring creative streak. Applicants will be assessed on these skills through their presentation of a signature appetizer or main dish.
