What: Bringing together all kinds of art forms in Bangkok’s first ideas festival, the “Bangkok Edge” is a thought-provoking mixture of art, literature, music, performances, workshops, exhibitions, entertainment, and more. The event features several well-known local and international authors, thinkers, and artists such as Jung Chang, author of “Wild Swans”; Kevin Kwan, author of ‘Crazy Rich Asians, a novel in process to become Hollywood film: and Veeraporn Niriprapha, 2015 S.E.A Write Award Winner. Highlights of the night include a live mini-concert by famous artists, such as Hugo and Palmy.

Lunar New Year Fest

What: Thailand celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year with food, events, performances, and other ceremonies, both religious and otherwise. An obvious manifestation of the festival is the Mooncakes Festival, with the celebratory goodies available in many stores and bakeries. Many parts of the kingdom, especially those with big Thai-Chinese communities mark the event with various festivities that sometimes last for a week or so.

What: One of the most important Buddhist day is celebrated on full moon of the third lunar month. The miracle of the occasion was the arrivals of over thousands of Buddha’s disciples without being summoned.
