    Hearty-Irish-FoodMichelin Starred Chef Michael Deane will be teaming up with the VIU culinary team to present a special menu available for five days only from 8 until 12 March 2016. The first two nights are already sold out.

    Hailed as a top chef in the UK by the Craft Guild of Chefs, Chef Michael is also Ireland’s longest standing Michelin Starred Chef for 14 consecutive years.

    He may have a Michelin star, but Northern Ireland’s top-rated chef and restaurateur Chef Michael describes his dishes to be straight up and hearty, just like the Chef himself.

    Chef Michael and his ever evolving team have for many years spearheaded modern food in Belfast, and continue to provide discerning Northern Ireland diners with a cuisine choice of exceptional quality.

    The concepts are not fanciful, simply focused on flavour and executed with a high degree of culinary skill. According to the Chef, “Our style in Deanes would be very modern Irish with a slight twist and we would use a lot of French and probably Spanish techniques”.

    “From my earliest days I wanted to set a standard for the best quality and the best value eating out experience possible. Over the years I have come to learn that it is the customers not the critics, who decide if you are a success and that is very humbling. Thankfully our dedication to sourcing the best local produce and demanding the highest standards of cooking and presentation continues to please customers at home, as well as those visiting from abroad, and that is the only secret to our success”.

    Under Chef Michael’s leadership, his restaurants have also received numerous awards, these include:
