Central Embassy marks first birthday bash with exciting line-up of fun activities – and the first ever balloon art installation in Southeast Asia!
Central Embassy recently celebrated its first anniversary by inviting the world-renowned artist group FriendsWithYou, led by Samuel Albert Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III, to create a theme park with inflated balloon art installations.
Under the concept, “Rainbow City,” the artists shared their vision of friendship, family, and happiness, with colorful mascots Papa Panda, Rainbow King, and Buddy Chubb mingling with all who visited the luxury mall. Large totems– from 10ft to 40ft in height — invited everyone to come inside and have some fun.
Numerous members of the city’s glitterati, including top celebrities and high-society figures, attended the posh birthday bash.
“We are always bringing fresh ides to reward our customers, as you can see from the art pieces brought in from around the word,” said Barom Bhicharnchtr, managing director of Central Embassy. “This is the first time that Southeast Asia welcomed the balloon art installations by FriendsWith You.”
Among the other highlights was the meet and greet with Korean superstar Lee Chae Rin, from 2NE1, who attended the party to surprise his fans. There was also a mini concert by Tattoo Color, alternating with the funky music by DJ Supersonic, among others.
The celebration continued for the next few days with several Thai artists also holding a mini-concert, including Stamp Apiwat, Gene Kasidit, and Jetsetter. The Tourism Authority of Thailand presented special prizes, and every shop at the Central Embassy held fun events every weekend.
Central Embassy (Address: 1031 Ploenchit Rd, Pathumwan, Bangkok) has been designed to become more than just a retail and shopping hub for high-end consumers in Bangkok. The builder’s ultimate goal is to create an urban culture destination where sophisticated city folks can let go of their flights of fancy while splurging on a shopping spree.
This birthday bash has proven, without doubt, that they have succeeded succinctly.
