    Tangled Up in Blue
    What: This exhibition presents 27-year-old Thai artist Pongsakul Chalao’s latest works created with a sewing machine, his substitute for a paintbrush; and denim, his color. Chalao has been collecting jeans for 10 years. They are cut and torn in pieces and used to create puzzle landscapes. Provoked by the socio-cultural scene of Bangkok and its surroundings, he mirrors these ideas through all possible hues and tones of denim.

    2015 Italian Wine Sommelier Competition
    What: This competition follows on the heels of the first two successful Italian wine sommelier competitions in Thailand (2013 and 2014). The organizers hope that this year’s event will surpass the success of the previous ones, with participants from 5-star hotels and recognized restaurants such as Siwat Thitipornwatthanakul from Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, and Pakpoom Towatcharakun from The Okura Prestige Hotel, winners of the 2013 and 2014 editions, respectively. The line-up of activities includes an Italian Wine Workshop on June 23, a Written Examination on June 24, and a Practical Examination on June 24, which will cover Wine Tasting, Wine and Food Matching, and Wine Service. The event will be capped by a “Grand Italian Wine Tasting Night » on June 24, where the winners will be announced.
