MATTEO METULLIO
Background
Matteo Metullio is not only one of the best emerging chefs of Northern Italy, but at the age of 25 he is also the youngest Michelin-star chef in Italy.
Born in Trieste, the young chef has had a commendable career. At just 19 years old he was already part of the team of world famous chef Norbert Niederkofler at St. Hubertus Restaurant. After a solid 4 years’ experience with the 2 Michelin-star chef, Matteo moved to La Siriola Restaurant as sous chef of Fabio Cucchelli.
In 2013, after the departure of Fabio Cucchelli, Matteo received the prestigious assignment of Executive Chef at La Siriola. A major challenge for such a young boy. Needless to say that he has become a great success, and under his leadership, La Siriola has maintained its star rating, and Matteo has become Italy’s youngest Michelin-star chef.
