Northeastern Thai (Isan) cuisine is well known for its hot but very healthy characteristic. The chef of ambar, Ponchai Butipunka, an advocate of the Isan cuisine culture, proudly brought his Isan origin (Yasothon) to offer guests a food that walks the line between authenticity and classic flavors and prepared from the heart. For starters, his papaya pok pok somtam seafood (the green papaya salad) balances the mix of spiciness, tang, sweetness and saltiness that makes it such a favorite. The rest of the menu is carefully picked, all at the special price of just Bt250 net. They include: gai tod (golden fried chicken, served with Isan style dips), laab (spicy Isan salad with your choice of meat), Isan sausage (lightly fried, sour sausage is different from the rest of sausages you have ever had), kor moo yang (grilled marinated pork neck,), and nam tok pla (fried fish in spicy Isan dressing sauce). Enjoy the Isan taste all throughout June.
